Alexandra Raisman
Aly Raisman was an American female gymnast, and captain of her team in the US women's Olympic gymnastics 2012 Fierce Five team and in the year 2016. the Final Five. In the 2012 Olympics in London she took home gold medals in floor and team competitions as well as bronze in the balance beam. She became the only American to have won many Olympic medals. In the 2016 Olympics she won a silver medal at the team event. This earned her and teammate Gabby Douglas the honor of having been among the first Americans to have two consecutive gold medals in a team. Silver medals were also awarded in the individual all-around and floor exercises. Between the two Olympics she had taken a break from competitive gymnastics to rest for three months. Gold medal winner American team also won the two World Championships. Her first experience with gymnastics began at the age 2 and her favorite event is the floor workout. Aly supports the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organisation to honor her mother, who died of cancer. The future is bright for her as she plans to make a career by avoiding fashion. It is also her goal to extend her leotards line and sock collection. She's writing a book entitled Fierce which will come out later this year.
